16 April 2020 – Relaxed some lockdown restrictions relating to certain essential goods

Overview: The Government of South Africa amended the restrictions on the movement of goods during lockdown to allow the transport of essential goods from warehousing sites to essential service providers.

With the exception of liquor, cargo may be transported to ports of entry for exporting. Stores selling harware products and vehicle components may open for the sale of essential goods.
