Overview: The caring government of His Excellency President Julius Maada Bio has provided direct cash transfers to vulnerable citizens ahead of the latest three days lockdown which starts on Sunday 3rd to Tuesday 5th May 2020. The one-off exercise takes place on Saturday 2nd May 2020. The beneficiaries will each receive the sum of 250,000 cash. The targeted groups include: Persons living with disabilities, amputees, orphans in orphanages, and children with autism cared for in institutions. 2,800 will benefit in the Western Area and Western Rural Districts respectively whilst there will be 300 beneficiaries each in Moyamba, Pujehun, Bonthe, Kailahun, Koinadugu, Falaba, Tonkolili, Kambia and Karene districts.
