Overview: The President of the Republic, Filipe Jacinto Nyusi, declared the implementation of the State of Emergency throughout the country, as a measure of reinforcing the preventive actions of COVID-19:
– limiting the movement of people and goods throughout the national territory, as well as limiting the entry of people at land borders, airports and ports, except for reasons of interest to the State, transportation of goods and goods by duly accredited operators, and health-related situations;
– mandatory quarantine for all citizens who have travelled outside the country, or who have been in contact with confirmed cases of COVID-19, as well as the prohibition of any public or private activities, such as sports, religious, cultural, recreational and other nature that concentrate crowds in the same enclosure, except urgent state or social issues;
– ensure the inspection of the prices of essential goods for the population, including those necessary to prevent and combat the pandemic, as well as the introduction of job rotation, or the adoption of other modalities depending on the specificity of the public or private sector;
– ensure that health, migration and security authorities are ready at all points of entry and exit of the country, such as land borders, airports and ports, aiming to control the movement of people from countries where active infections are already registered, to contain the evolution of the pandemic in the country.
