Overview: The President of the Republic, Filipe Jacinto Nyusi, sent the proposal for a Decree that aims to accommodate the Amnesty Law with the aim of decongest the Prison System, in order to prevent the spread of Coronavirus among the prisional population:
– the Amnesty Law Proposal aims at covering crimes punishable by up to one year in prison and pardon up to one yea of incarceration.
