Overview: South Kivu authorities take over from national authorities to raise awareness against Coronavirus
The provincial government of South Kivu, meeting in Council of Ministers on Wednesday, declared itself in favor of intensifying the awareness of the population on measures to prevent Corona Virus , the disease having already claimed several victims in China in this January.
Provincial government executive secretary Typson Idumbo, acting as government spokesperson, said the council has also decided to step up surveillance measures, particularly at entry and exit points.
South Kivu, through its provincial governor, has launched a public awareness campaign as part of the disease prevention measures.
