Overview: Solemn declaration by the Minister of Health on the coronavirus and the first preventive measures relating thereto.

The Congolese government is implementing preventive measures to prevent the entry into the DRC of the coronavirus epidemic, which is raging in China. In a statement made on January 25 in Kinshasa, the Minister of Public Health, Eteni Longondo, announced the establishment of checkpoints for any traveler from China.

Dr Eteni Longondo announces that the border health services located at all entry points in the DRC – in particular the airports of Kinshasa, Kisangani and Goma – are equipped to carry out the preliminary diagnosis:
