Overview: On July 30, 2020, the National Security Council (CNS) decided to resume gatherings in Côte d’Ivoire, with the authorization of the prefects and with the health authorities. It also authorizes the reopening of bars, nightclubs, cinemas and performance venues, from July 31, 2020. This relief measure is, however, accompanied by the obligation to observe barrier measures, in particular hand washing, wearing a mask and physical distancing. The CNS has decided to maintain the state of emergency until August 31, 2020. The closure of land and sea borders is also maintained.

The maintenance of compulsory confinement of all vulnerable people, including pregnant women;
– The pursuit of communication and community awareness actions, in conjunction with communities, the prefectural body, religious leaders, traditional authorities, social workers and community agents;
– The extension, on an exceptional basis, for a period of three (3) months, namely from July to September 2020, of the payment of premiums to health personnel and to the defense and security forces,
– The establishment of a specific circuit for testing the profile of travelers, as part of the opening of air borders, in compliance with international provisions and health measures required for safety in the travel environment. This device will be the responsibility of the traveler.
