Overview: The Minister of Women, Family and Children presented on April 18, 2020 in Abidjan, the department’s response plan to curb the spread of COVID-19. It provides support for families and vulnerable households, increased care for children and increased protection for women. This plan is mainly supported by the Special Solidarity Fund COVID-19, amounting to CFAF 43 billion. Specifically This is the grouping of children from orphanages and other social establishments in centers where they receive food and health assistance. As well as the care of 10,000 children suffering from malnutrition. There is also the distribution of health kits, food and non-food items to families in precarious situations. More than 2,000 families have been made aware of compliance with the measures taken to break the chain of contamination.
