Evidence/Justification: After more than two months after the appearance of the first case of COVID-19, the satisfactory implementation of the Government’s strategy has made it possible to contain the evolution of the pandemic;
– the lethality of the disease, between 1 and 1.5%, remains contained, well below the initial forecasts, despite a slight increase in the contamination rate, especially in Abidjan which records all new cases, since April 21, 2020 ;
– the cure rate is around 44% as of May 12, 2020, one of the best on the continent
