Overview: The President of the Republic made an address to the nation in which he lifted the curfew in other regions of the country other than the great epicenter of the epidemic in the country. He was taking further action because of positive developments in the provinces.
As no positive case of COVID-19 has been reported since April 21, 2020, President Alassane Ouattara announced the lifting of the curfew, starting on Friday May 8, 2020. It is also the reopening of establishments in ” pre-school, primary, secondary and higher education, in accordance with the procedures to be communicated by the ministries concerned, of the reopening of restaurants, maquis, bars, night clubs, cinemas and places of entertainment.
