Overview: On March 27, in a circular from the Ministry of Health, the scientific council proposed to generalize the treatment with chloroquine. Deemed “promising”, it could reduce viral load and contagiousness even if the group of scientists recognizes a “lack of evidence”. Finally, the council wished to associate it, as recommended by Didier Raoult, with azithromycin to avoid the risks of secondary infections. On April 9, the protocol was validated for the management of all types of patients tested positive, asymptomatic cases, in prevention, to patients suffering from severe infections.
