Overview: The Dutch Government has allowed expired driver licenses from 16 March 2020, to remain valid until 1 June 2020. The temporary measure comes as people are unable to renew their driver licenses due to the Government’s COVID-19 measures.
Only people whose license is valid for short periods (1-3 years) due to a need for regular medical assessments, are excluded under the temporary measure to ensure road safety.
