Overview: The Executive Power approved Supreme Decree No. 010-2020-SA , for the Action Plan and the list of goods and services required to face the National Health Emergency for 90 days.
Through the legal device, the Ministry of Health, the National Institute of Health (INS) and the Social Health Insurance (EsSalud) are responsible for carrying out the immediate actions developed in the ‘Action Plan – Surveillance, containment and attention to cases of the new COVID-19 in Peru’.

This plan seeks to strengthen surveillance, containment and response systems to mitigate the health, social and economic impact that the coronavirus would have in the country.

The plan covers the health of the Armed Forces and National Police, and private health establishments, so that no medical center in the country is left without the prevention scheme.

Actions include epidemiological surveillance at points of entry into the country; communication of risk to specific groups and the general public; the identification of regional and national reference hospitals; and strengthening the operational capacity of the ministry’s health facilities (EE. SS.), among other activities.
