29 April 2020 – Government extends quarantine to 10 May, plans made for “dynamic quarantine”

Overview: Government extends quarantine and announces actions for a second phase of “dynamic quarantine”. The quarantine is extended until 10 May with the restrictions defined so far. From May 11, an assessment will be made to qualify departments and cities in three risk categories: high, medium and moderate. On the recommendation of doctors and scientists who advise the Government, a new quarantine stage will be entered, which will be different in each place depending on the level of risk and response capacity.

Type of Justification: Advice of INTERNAL government advisory committee or group
Evidence/Justification: There are pressures from different sectors (mainly economic) to make the crew more flexible. On the other hand, there are pressures from the health sector (doctors and nurses) to increase the level of safety measures. The government had to make a decision to balance the pressures from both sectors.
