Overview: The U.S. Customs and Border Protection Agency, through an existing law under Title 42 of the United States Code Section 265, began a policy of rapid expulsion involving fast summary deportations of unauthorized immigrants at the Mexican and Canadian land borders. The policy has effectively limited the processing of asylum claims.
