Overview: Order 11-2020 – This intervention requires that the Edmonton Regional Airports Authority and the Calgary Airport Authority implement public health measures. Each airport must provide hand-sanitizer at all kiosks or touch screen locations, and they must clean and disinfect every surface or items used by passengers and members of the public at least 3 times a day (or right away if the bodily fluid from a person comes into contact with a surface or item). Furthermore, the Airport Authorities must implement physical distancing measures such as limiting seating so that people can maintain a distance of 2 metres from others and demarcating 2 metre distance intervals on the floor where persons gather to form lines. Each airport must also have screening measures in place in areas used by people returning to Alberta after international travel. These screening measures include providing information on how to comply with self-isolation and quarantine as well as performing health assessments (i.e. taking temperature and conducting a questionnaire).
