Overview: Order 22-2020: The Chief Medical Officer of health rescinds section 6 Order 19-2020 which required operators of businesses to complete a plan that sets out how they will complete the following: 1) implement practices to minimize the risk of transmission of infections between employees or attendees of the facilities; 2) establish procedures for responding rapidly when either an employee or attendee shows symptoms of illness; 3) ensure that employees or attendees of the business maintain high levels of personal hygiene and sanitation; and 4) comply with any applicable Alberta health guidance. This order was rescinded as it was determined that some businesses and entities should not need to implement the certain requirement, and that new and more specific guidance for businesses should be implemented as a best practice.
