Overview: Saskatchewan is working to support physicians to provide virtual healthcare appointments. As of now, patients will be able to access physician care via telephone. A new payment fee code for physicians will support these services. Additionally, the Ministry of Health is in the process of enabling the provision of virtual care through secure video. The intended effect of these efforts is to increase access to health care amid COVID-19.
