Overview: The Government of Spain imposed restrictions on freedom of movement across Spain for 15 days.
During the state of alarm, citizens and vehicles will only be allowed to travel on public roads and streets for certain activities. There are limited exceptions, such as for health and social workers, food stores and food production, industry, construction, banking, media, energy, and water and electricity supplies.
Permitted activities are purchasing foodstuffs, pharmaceuticals and essential items, attending health centers, going to work, returning to your usual residence, assisting seniors or vulnerable people, in cases of force majeure or of necessity, and any other activity that is, by its nature, justified.
Cafés and restaurants are shut, but they will be able to deliver food to people’s homes. Cinemas and theaters are closed, as well as sporting events and museums. All local fiestas and marches are suspended.
