Overview: Executive Decree ordering the temporary suspension of the construction industry. Declared by the WHO on March 11, 2020, the CoVid-19 pandemic, the States have progressively implemented the sanitary and social isolation measures that they consider necessary to contain the spread of the aforementioned disease.
The executive body through executive decree No.505 dated March 23, 2020, extended the curfew throughout the national territory, in order to limit mobility, construction chambers and unions, with the interest of safeguarding the health and integrity of its workers agreed to accept formulas that help ensure the success of measures to control citizen mobility through the Plan Protect yourself Panama, such as the indicated.
All construction projects as well as the industry related to the manufacture, distribution and dispatch of concrete, cement and its derivatives, as well as in the quarries are suspended. Exceptions, are those indicated by the corresponding health authorities.

Evidence/Justification: Application of the sanitary measures corresponding to the mitigation and control protocols of the pandemic, relative to the speed and high contagion of CoVid-19. To avoid that massive contagions and generate critical cases simultaneously and consequently collapse the health system the suspension is implemented.
