Overview: The Ministry of Health and Welfare and KCDC has chosen Yonsei University’s University Industry Foundation to head the “Vaccine Technology Research and Development Project”. A state fund of 215.1 billion won will be invested for 10 years (2020-2029). The Project will conduct research on the entire cycle of vaccine development process from the discovery of candidate substances to clinical trials. It will also support the development of COVID-19 vaccines, including support for follow-up of clinical and non-clinical studies.
