29 March 2020 – Opened testing centres in hospitals across Nepal

Overview: The Nepal Government will open COVID-19 testing centres in each of the seven regional hospitals extending all over the country. These centres will be in addition to the National Public Health Laboratory, Kathmandu, which has been testing since January 27, 2020.
Documentation for sample collection, COVID-19 reporting, and contact tracing have been provided to all healthcare institutions. Samples were initially being sent abroad for testing prior to reagents and equipment being acquired.
