Lead People/Agency: The Council of Ministers has decided that the budget to commemorate the 60th anniversary of independence be redirected for this year. It is reserved for frontline medical personnel in the response to the Covid-19, as well as the armed forces, as a bonus for their acts of bravery and heroism.

Overview: The budget allocated for the celebration of 60 years of independence of the DRC is transformed into a bonus to be paid to the carers assigned to the fight against COVID-19 and to the FARDC.
