Overview: The Higher Committee for Health and Safety held a meeting under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi, with the participation of the Parliamentary Crisis Cell Committee and announced that the curfew will be extended for seven more days starting from 31/5/2020 with a suspension of the Iraqi flights. Omar Al Waeli, member of the National Health and Safety Committee, President of Border Ports also announced that there will be deterrent measures against violators of the curfew and those who gather.
Member of the Commission Arshad Al-Salihi added that the slackness of the security forces in punishing the curfew violators is among the reasons for the sudden increase in the number of Coronavirus cases. To prevent the spread of the virus, Arshad Al-Salihi advised the security forces to adhere to the instructions announced by the Ministry of Health.
