Evidence/Justification: “More than 50 researchers from the University of the Republic (Faculty of Chemistry, Faculty of Sciences, Hospital de Clínicas, Polo Technological Institute of Pando and Faculty of Medicine) and the Institut Pasteur de Montevideo have been working since the end of March constituting a Working Group Inter-institutional (GTI) whose objective is the development of serological tests for COVID-19.
Serological tests serve to detect in the blood the presence of antibodies directed against different parts of the coronavirus.
