Overview: Governor Andrew M. Cuomo signed into law a $40 million emergency management authorization. This appropriation allows for hiring staff, procuring equipment, and other resources to respond to COVID-19. Also announced plans to amend Paid Sick Leave budget proposal to protect people from termination if they are required to isolate or quarantine due to COVID-19. Announced that State University of New York (SUNY) students studying abroad in high prevalence areas would be required to return.
